Use the present progressive to talk about an action in progress at the time of speaking. You will need a subject, a present form of the verb "be" and a present participle.
Examples:
I am running.
You are running.
He/She/It (or a singular noun) is running.
We are running.
They (or a plural noun) are running.
Use the past progressive tense to show that an action was in progress at some time before now. Combine a past form of the verb "be" with a present participle.
Examples:
I was watching TV at 9:00 p.m. last night.
You were watching TV at 9:00 p.m. last night.
He/She/It (or a singular noun) was watching TV at 9:00 p.m. last night.
We were watching TV at 9:00 p.m. last night.
They (or a plural noun) were watching TV at 9:00 p.m. last night.
Use the future progressive tense to talk about an action that will be in progress at a future time. Combine the verb "will" with the word "be" and a present participle.
Examples:
I will be landing at 2:00 p.m. tomorrow.
You will be landing at 2:00 p.m. tomorrow.
He/She/It (or a singular noun) will be landing at 2:00 p.m. tomorrow.
We will be landing at 2:00 p.m. tomorrow.
They (or a plural noun) will be landing at 2:00 p.m. tomorrow.
