Purchase a sturdy display board. Display boards are typically 3 feet by 4 feet with three panels and can usually be purchased at your school or a local retail store.
Choose a color scheme for your project. Choose two or three colors and use those colors for titles, subtitles, and construction paper. Choose bright colors that are eye-catching and go together well.
Type and print a title and subtitles for your board. Your title should be the largest text on your board, and subtitles should be large enough to read from 1 to 2 feet away. Subtitles may include: question, research, hypothesis, experiment, results, and conclusion.
Glue the title and subtitles to construction paper and then glue the paper to your board. The title should be placed at the top of the center panel. Place two or three subtitles on both the left and right panels, leaving room underneath each one for information.
Type and print report pages that will be displayed on the board underneath the subtitles. Use font that is large enough for someone to read while they stand in front of your board. Glue reports to colored construction paper and glue those papers to your board under the appropriate titles.
Add photographs to your board under the experiment subtitle. These should include pictures taken during your experiment and pictures of results.
