Decide how big you want your almanac to be. You can create a page for every day, a page for every week, or even a page for every month. If you are working with many students in a class you can pick a month for each student to fill out or a day out of each month for each student to complete.
Create a template for each page of your almanac that includes a few basic pieces of information such as daily average high and low temperatures.
Decide whether you want to have a theme for each week or month of the year. These themes will give the almanac consistancy but also allow you to give each person a creative outlet where they can express their individuality. For example, you could have a snowman theme for the month of December, and each person could create a different drawing or picture of a snowman for a page of the almanac.
Fill in each page of the almanac with interesting and relevant information. You may want to highlight the day of a large or disasterous storm or earthquake, or a famous quote by an author who was born or died on a certain day. You can also include such information as phase of the moon, holidays, recipies, poetry, brain teasers, words of the day, puzzles and whatever else you can think of.
