Instruct the children to sit in a circle. Throw a common object, such as a shoe, into the middle of the circle. Instruct the children to reach for the object and ask that whoever gets the object to simulate a completely different use for the object, such as using it as a microphone to sing. Instruct the rest of the children to guess what new object the student is simulating. Change the object every four or five times.
Write different professions on little pieces of paper. Fold the pieces and place them into a box or bowl. Ask a child to get a piece of paper from the box, read it and imitate it without saying anything. Ask the rest of the class to guess what profession the child is acting.
Have a ball or other item the children can pass. Ask the children to sit in a circle in the floor. Read or make up the beginning of a story and say it to the children. Only share with the children a few sentences. Pass the ball or other object to one of the students and ask him to add a sentence to the story. Ask the child to pass the ball to another student to continue the story. Continue playing until each student has a chance to add on to the story.
Have a discussion with the students about a popular topic or a holiday coming up. Discuss the topic for a few minutes until the children are interested in the topic. Divide the children into groups. Ask them to create a short sketch about the topic you have been discussing. Give each group enough time to write the story and practice their sketch. You can give the groups a few minutes each day for a few days to prepare or ask them to prepare and present short sketches in one day. Ask each group to present the sketch to the rest of the class.
