Many lessons about Paul involve his travels and telling others about God's word. The students can make footprints that represent Paul's travels. Have each student trace the outline of his foot and cut out the foot shape. Have each student write his memory verse on the foot. The students may take their crafts home or the teacher may hang them on a wall or bulletin board to look like walking footprints.
Paul traveled to many countries spreading God's word, and students can make a book that represents his travels. A printable book can be found at Mission Arlington/Mission Metroplex Rainbow Express, or you can make your own. Use a Bible verse such as Philippians 4:6 and translate it into other languages. You may do this by researching websites that provide translations or finding Bibles in the church or public library that are printed in other languages. Print the verse in each language you have chosen and the flag from the country that represents that language on one half of a sheet of paper. Stack the papers together and fold them in half to make a book. Have the students staple the papers together at the fold. They can then color the pages and try to read the verse in each language.
Paul slept in a tent while he was traveling. Students can make their own tents as a craft activity. A printable pattern can be found online at Sunday School Sources. Print one pattern for each student. Have them cut out the patterns. Fold the tents along the dotted lines. Students may also write their memory verses on the tents prior to folding.
Tell the students the story about Paul and his friends sailing in the storm. Then the students can make paper sailor's hats to remember the story. Each student should have a half sheet of newspaper, or a whole single sheet. Holding the paper vertically, they should fold the paper down in half. Take each corner of the folded edge and fold it down to make equal triangle shapes. The bottom edge of the triangles should be above the bottom edge of the paper. Fold one bottom flap up, then flip the hat over and fold the other bottom flap up. Tape to hold the flaps in place. Pull apart at the bottom to make a hat.
