When Abraham Lincoln was in Elementary school what grade he in?

Abraham Lincoln did not attend elementary school as we understand it today. Formal schooling was much less structured and readily available in his time and place. He received a very limited, informal education, consisting mostly of short periods in several different schools and a lot of self-education. There wasn't a graded system like we have now.
