How to Use a Function Generator Oscilloscope

Using the Device

  Locate the power button on the function generator and turn on the device.

  Locate the output port on the function generator and connect the coaxial cable to it.

  Locate the power button on the oscilloscope and turn on the device.

  Connect the free end of the coaxial cable to Port A1 on the oscilloscope. This should connect both devices.

  Set the frequency on the frequency generator using the number pad.

• 6

  Find the autoset button on the oscilloscope and press it to adjust the visual dimensions of the wave so it can be read more easily.

  Turn the voltage division knob to adjust the vertical dimensions of the wave manually if needed.

• 8

  Turn the time division knob to adjust the horizontal dimensions (amplitude) of the wave manually if needed.

• 9

  Locate the measure voltage button and press it to bring up the voltage measurement menu.

• 10

  Use the menu keys to navigate through the voltage measurement menu.
