Crystals are formed in nature in a wide variety of colors, structures and sizes. If you are teaching students about geology and crystal formation, it can be helpful to provide a fun and exciting experiment making crystals out of sugar water. Each student can even create different colored sugar crystals to compare with their classmates' crystals. Once finished, the students can eat their crystal candy as a snack.
