Think about what type of graduation celebration you would like to have. It should be unique to your personal style, and you should feel comfortable at it. You can go to a group graduation with other home schoolers, have a small gathering, large gathering, party, ceremony or both.

Check out home school organization graduations. Many cities and states have home school organizations that hold an annual graduation ceremony, much like the ceremonies held in public or private high schools.

Plan a personal graduation ceremony. You may wish to have a more private ceremony in which you are the only graduate. This can be a large affair in which you rent out an auditorium and invite many people, or a simple ceremony in your home.

Throw a party. You may decide that you do not want to have any sort of graduation ceremony at all, but instead, simply hold a celebration for your achievement. Or, you can throw a graduation party in addition to having a ceremony. Again, think about if you want your party to be large or small.

Remember the details. Buy or make invitations and decorate for your party/ceremony. Plan on giving a speech, and ask your parents and other important figures in your life and education to make speeches. Demonstrate any special talents you have. Celebrate your achievements.
