Christian Correspondence Schools

Parents may choose an accredited Christian correspondence school during high school years because colleges and universities are more likely to accept the diploma as valid. Correspondence schools may also provide college-level classes for teens and adults from a Christian perspective. Some programs allow an individual to work on a college degree while working and managing family responsibilities.

    • Offering both a preschool through 12th grade curriculum and university classes, Griggs provides a flexible, accredited program from a Seventh day Adventist Christian perspective. The Pre-K-12 program offers a standard curriculum plus Bible studies. The high school program offers a small selection of electives like home economics, music and photography. College-level offerings range from a one-year program in pastoral ministries to master's degrees in ministry or business administration.

Alpha Omega offers single courses to adults who want to take classes while working, Students may choose between correspondence and online classes.

    Lighthouse Christian Academy

    • Lighthouse Christian Academy uses Accelerated Christian Education to educates students in grades K-12. The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Council on Accreditation and School Improvement accredits the program. The high school program offers four different programs including an general, honors, vocational and college prep course. The school offers an on-location graduation ceremony for graduating seniors.

    Bridgeway Academy

    • Bridgeway Academy offers and accredited K-12 distance program. They also work with adults looking to earn a high school diploma instead of a GED. Bridgeway uses curriculum produced by Bob Jones University, a Bible-based curriculum home-school families have trusted for more than 30 years.

    Heartland Christian Academy

    • Heartland Christian Academy uses the Bible-based Accelerated Christian Education School of Tomorrow curriculum to provide a self-paced program. The National Association of Private Schools accredits Heartland's program. Students who meet graduation requirements receive a high school diploma accepted by many colleges and universities.

    American Academy

    • American Academy offers a Pre-K-12 correspondence home-school program. American Academy offers a program accredited by The National Association of Private Schools and a curriculum through the School of Tomorrow. The program trains parents to use the curriculum and provides a home-school manual. The parent receives a certificate once training is completed. The Academy maintains records, transcripts, assists with testing and issues a diploma when all high school requirements are met.
