Write down the essential everyday activities. Eight hours of sleep and time for three meals are two examples. Such activities are non-negotiable, as they will keep you healthy and with a clear mind throughout the writing process.
Include obligations in your schedule that you can't avoid, such as lessons and doctor appointments. Keep track of them up until the day you must submit your paper.
Record the time you need for certain actions before writing down your schedule. Record your performance with hard tasks --- it's better to have time left than rush to keep the deadline. Use a timer to check approximately how fast you can retrieve rare information or write an introductory paragraph.
Divide the research and writing work into distinct parts. For example, you could search for a list of Roman emperors between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. Then you could write the first two paragraphs of your introduction between 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. and continue with the following two between 2:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.
Allow for small breaks between each task. Mental fatigue can affect your writing, so don't push yourself to meet the individual task's deadline. Ensure there is space at the end of every day's schedule for postponed tasks.
Include time for leisure activities. Keep it short during the weekdays (one to three hours per day), while giving yourself long breaks (five to eight hours per day) over the weekend.
Focus on proofreading your paper during the last day --- or two --- before you submit it. For this reason, schedule the completion of the writing part of your work before your actual deadline.
