How to Write Computer Lab Objectives

When working in a computer lab, you might be required to write a report about the type of work you are conducting, the process you're using, and what your final conclusions are once the work is complete. Like any other lab report, this will also involve discussing your objective or objectives. Within the report, this goes in the "Statement of Objective" section, which is placed immediately after the title page.

Instructions

    • 1

Go to the second page of your computer lab report. This is directly after your title page.

    • 2

Type "Statement of Objective" at the top of the page. This is the first section of the computer lab report.

    • 3

Write the objective, or purpose, of your computer lab work. For example, you may have been analyzing data to investigate the age ranges or other demographics of people who purchase a particular type of project.

    • 4

Use verbs in your objective that are meaningful to your purpose. Some examples of effective verbs include measure, compete, analyze, determine, predict, investigate, plot or synthesize.

    • 5

Add any details that are needed for the reader to understand the computer lab objective, such as specific computer software used or a specific type of data you worked with.
