Abrasive blasting, also known as sandblasting, uses silica sand as the material used in the procedure. There are significant health risks to the lungs associated with the high-velocity abrasive stream, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Action Blast uses a floor system that collects the abrasive after blasting and transfers it by a special elevator into a separator that removes larger contaminants. The abrasive then enters a separate chamber, where air removes finer contaminants.
Action Blast systems include an enclosed blast room that allow users to control the environment during the procedure, as well as clean up afterward. Installation by the manufacturer comes with Action Blast systems.
