Games Based on Bible Teaching

Games that are based on Biblical teachings can make it easier to teach your children important lessons and help them to memorize scripture. Games, played with parents or others within their church group, can promote lifelong retention and a love for learning the scriptures in creative ways.
  1. Group Games

    • Several available games can be played by groups. Bible Bingo allows players to fill in a bingo card with as many books of the Bible, or other facts, as they can remember. This game can be played by any number of players as long as you have enough bingo cards available. Bible Charades is a twist on an old favorite. It works just like traditional charades, except you only use Bible-related topics.

    Christmas Games

    • Christmas games are not limited to just the holiday season. They can be played any time the mood strikes. The Christmas Story Brainstorm game challenges players to see who can name the most people, places or things from the Christmas story. Examples of valid terms include Mary, Jesus, a manger, three wise men and Bethlehem.

    Card Games

    • Card games can be played in groups or individually. Several Biblically based card games are available. For example, the Cross Power Card game is a partner game, where each partner bids on the number of points the team can earn in that hand. Scriptures are printed on every card, and special cards, such as the Cross, Bible or Hell, impact how the cards are played.

    Board Games

    • Many Biblical games are specifically designed as board games. Solomon's Temple is a Christian Board Game that pits players against each other in a race to build the Temple of Solomon. Sin and invading armies conspire to prevent you from completing the task first. This game is designed for two players. The Life of Christ board game uses multiple choice questions to promote a better understanding of the life of Christ.
