How to Take the NAPLEX

NAPLEX is an acronym that stands for North American Pharmacist Licensure Examination. It is a test that a person must take before getting licensed to practice pharmacy in a particular state. The NAPLEX is given out several times a year at licensed testing stations on computers. If you want to take the NAPLEX, you'll first have to register for it and then show up and take the test at a designated date and time.

      Open your Web browser and visit the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy NAPLEX application page.

      Check the box on screen and click "Proceed."

      Select "Naplex" and click "Proceed."

      Fill out the "Personal Information" form on screen with information including your name, date of birth, address and phone number. When you're finished, click "Next Page."

      Fill out the "Education Information" screen, detailing your current educational experience. Click "Next Page." Fill out the information on screen detailing where you would like your NAPLEX score sent and click "Next Page." Review the information you have submitted and click "Continue." At the bottom of the page is the amount of money in registration fees you have to pay to take the NAPLEX. You will be able to enter credit or debit card information on the following page to complete payment. Payment is necessary before you can take the test. After payment, you will be able to select from one of the available times and locations where you can take the NAPLEX. Show up at the location you select at the specified time to take the test.
