Although your pain may upsurge in random intervals, you will find that you are much more resistant to pain that you are not thinking about. The more you think of the pain that you are in, the more that pain will be built up and seem to hurt. Do not think of the pain. Try to settle your mind on something else. Try doing a hobby, reading, taking a shower or having dinner with friends.
Vibration is a digital form of a massage that can stimulate the pressure points on your body without the high price of a massage. A massage chair or bed will relieve pain in many areas of the body because it stimulates your nervous system, giving you more sensory feelings in other parts of your body rather than just where there is pain. A traditional massage will also work.
When you settle down and just sit your body's sensory receptors and shot back to that area where you are feeling pain. When this occurs, you will find that the pain gets much worse. Keep active and exercised. Go for a run or a walk, take a bike ride, play a sport, or anything else that will keep your body moving and your blood pumping. Keep your body in motion.
Relaxation does not have to be counterproductive to the elimination or alleviation of pain. Doing yoga or practiced stretches can help you conquer your pain mentally. Try meditation, aromatherapy or sound therapy to lull you into a state of relaxation. Massaging can be considered one form of relaxation, but there are many other forms that you can do without a masseuse or a massage chair.
