Framesi Techniques

The Framesi product line began in 1945, when found Roberto Franchina began selling talc powder and brilliantine. In 1970, Framesi began manufacturing coloring products and introduced a technique it billed as "the Italian way of coloring." Since then, Framesi has sponsored training centers across the world to teach hairdressers about the techniques the brand uses to identify itself. Framesi's training program is separated into four pathways: Green, White, Red and Blue.
  1. Green Pathway

    • The Green Pathway teaches the fundamentals of Framesi's fashion philosophy. By emphasizing what has kept its product line consistent, Framesi uses this pathway to teach its students about coloring, cuts, and fashion across a variety of courses and levels of difficulty. The coloring techniques are based on traditional methods developed by the company over the years. Cutting techniques are based on an Italian style and use volume and layering to capture seasonal trends in hair style. Fashion techniques are aimed at identifying trends and customizing them to meet customer demand.

    White Pathway

    • The White Pathway is all about the cut. This pathway is designed to teach salon owners and employees how to apply trends and training to simple haircuts to produce a fashionable, energized look. The styles taught in this pathway are known as the Energy Collection. Students are taught how to cut all of these styles, and how to identify which cut will flatter the shape of the customer's face. The White Pathway emphasizes the importance of cutting men's hair, as men frequently do not receive more advanced hair treatments.

    Red Pathway

    • This Red Pathway is all about the sales and personal-relations techniques Framesi uses to distinguish itself in the fashion marketplace. Courses include coaching on effective sales techniques and management. It teaches women how to be managers and leaders in the business community. This pathway also teaches Framesi techniques for empathizing and understanding the customer's needs, and applying critical thinking to the product line to effectively make recommendations. The Red Pathway also includes a trip to Milan so that students can understand the trends and culture that influence the Framesi line.

    Blue Pathway

    • The Blue Pathway is centered around innovative techniques Framesi employs to remain current and culturally relevant. The science of cutting techniques is analyzed, with specific courses geared toward the mathematics and geometry of hairstyles. It goes outside the salon to analyze street styles, and trains students to identify tangible fashion elements from these personalized hair styles. This pathway also features training on the use of hand and body movement during cutting, examining the connection between natural rhythm and artistic expression.
