Storage tools can be divided into agricultural and non-agricultural uses. Agricultural storage tools include refrigerators and silos; refrigerators store highly perishable products, such as animal products and fresh farm products, while silos handle grains and dried farm products. A warehouse is another storage tool, used to store goods meant for export or import sale. You can store tools in your apartment in a cabinet in the kitchen.
Conveying tools transport material from one point to another. A common conveyor tool is the conveyor belt system, which consists of rolling levers that move a belt. The lift is another form of conveyor, used to move materials up or down. Truck lifters and utility carts also fall under this category.
Stacking tools reduce the amount of energy used for arranging materials on top of each other. Lift tables are efficient when lifting light materials not far from the resting position. Forklifts are handy for carrying and stacking drums and boxes, for instance in a warehouse setting, while stackers are used to lift heavy objects to a desired height.
Cranes are useful tools when off-loading materials from a ship; they may be equipped with strong electromagnets to hold magnetic containers. On a much smaller scale, gripping jaws handle minute amounts of poisonous materials. A pair of gloves is another tool you can use for handling material.
