Involve children in team activities, so they can learn about rules and teamwork. Examples of such activities are team sports, team debating activities and team math competitions.
Develop the child's ability to think by involving her in different problem-solving activities. As an example, ask her to come up with her own set of rules regarding how to get her homework or chores done.
Teach children reciprocity by asking them to do something nice in return for someone who has been nice to them. Ask them how they can go out of their way to make that person's life better.
Develop your child's ability to make good judgment calls by involving her in making cooperative decisions. Ask her to consider everyone's point of view before making a decision that affects more than one person. Use role-playing to explain this concept. Have her pretend to be her teacher and ask her what her teacher's opinion would be on a particular topic.
