Users proficient in Microsoft Word 2000 must be able to execute a Find and Replace command, use the reference tools, and insert auto-text such as date and time. They must highlight, insert, copy and paste. They must apply fonts, change text size, and use most of the elements on the Standard Toolbar including the B I U toggle switches as well as Undo/Redo arrows. They must also know how to apply special effects such as Strikethrough, Double Strikethrough, Outline, and Emboss.

      Cover working with paragraphs. Objectives to measure paragraph navigation includes using the alignment buttons on the Standard Toolbar, setting double or single spacing, and inserting borders or shading. Users must also know how to use and set Tabs, create a bulleted and numbered lists and a formal outline.

      Cover working with documents. Proficient Word users can print collated documents, multiple copies of non-consecutive pages, and can troubleshoot basic printing problems. They can view documents in print preview and web-page preview. They can insert page numbers and set page orientation.
