Exchange City Accounting Tutorial

Hands on application of learned skills can help a kid experience the real world applications of economic and government concepts he learns in school. Exchange City is a city built for and run by students in the fourth, fifth and sixth grades. Students learn about American enterprise, entrepreneurism and government by operating different types of businesses including a financial institution and a post office. The accounting tutorial is designed to prepare a student for some of the tasks she will perform in Exchange City, including setting up payroll, writing a check and making a deposit.
