According to the American Medical Association, heavy exercise may increase serotonin levels, which may last up to one hour after the workout. "Music enhances a workout, it makes you work harder without realizing it, and it makes the workout go by faster," says fitness expert Petra Kolber, a spokesperson for the IDEA Health and Fitness Association. "Music takes exercise from just being exercise to being an experience."
Utilize the local library. This is the gift that keeps on giving. Research favorite topics; check out a book on how to complete a project. Savor new-found precious time that wasn't there before. It doesn't cost a penny to obtain a card and literally have the world at your fingertips. Enjoy hours of relaxation in the library reading your favorite magazines and enjoying audiobooks.
