Order a print catalog to be mailed to you from the website or by calling (800) 554-UCLA, or browse the catalog online at www.uclaextension.edu. Departments range from art, business and management, education, legal programs, public health and journalism, among many others.

    • 2

On the website, browse the catalog by selecting the Catalog Online tab from the top of the homepage. Search courses by department by selecting a department from the “Field of Study” pull down tab or by the course title, instructor or location, through the “Full Course Search” tab.

    • 3

If you find a course you like, click add course to Study List, UCLA Extension’s version of the online shopping cart. You can also register for classes through the “Quick Enroll” tab at the top of the page by putting in the course’s registration number and directly pulling it up.

    • 4

The “Personal Course Finder” selection option helps you find classes if you are unsure of what you are looking for; you fill in information about your reasons for taking the class, the fields you are targeting, and type of credit desired.

    • 5

When you pull up a class, you will be provided with its title, course number, number of units and price. A description of the course, whether it’s open or closed and its registration number will follow.

    • 6

Underneath this information, you will find the location of class, whether it is held in Westwood and where, UCLA’s campus, Occidental College or downtown Los Angeles. If it is an online class (Extension offers many), it will also say this. The day of the week the class is held, its time, number of meetings and dates are also included.

    • 7

At the very bottom, browse a description of the professor who is teaching the course.

    • 8

When you are ready to “check out” or have added all the courses to your study list that you would like to enroll in for a quarter, select the “Complete My Registration” option.

    • 9

You will be directed to a page to fill out information about yourself including name, address, phone number, social security number, birthday and email. You will then fill out credit card information and billing address.

    • 10

Confirm information and you will be sent a confirmation email. Registration takes roughly one business day to complete. You will be mailed a hard copy of an enrollment receipt in the mail.
