Located in Texas, the Houston Community College Business Technology Department offers certificates in general office administration, human resources/PeopleSoft, legal office assistant, medical coding, Microsoft Office technology, and bilingual business technology, all of which require keyboarding courses. One of these courses is beginning keyboarding, which emphasizes typing speed, document formatting and accuracy. The other is intermediate keyboarding, which continues these skills and focuses on editing, following instructions and proofreading.
