Vocational Schools in Conway, AR

Located in central Arkansas and with a population of roughly 45,000, Conway offers a handful of schools and programs for those wishing to earn a vocational degree. The town has two beauty schools where students may gain certification as nail technicians or barbers plus the Conway Vocational Center School, which provides certification opportunities in at least 10 fields.
  1. Arthur's Beauty School

    • Located on Washington Avenue, Arthur's offers cosmetology degrees to those who have successfully completed its program. Other certification programs available at Arthur's include those for future nail technicians and aestheticians. In addition, Arthur's offers training for those who wish to train future cosmetologists. Financial aid is available. Arthur's also provides three other campuses throughout Arkansas.

    Conway Vocational Center School

    • The Conway Vocational Center School has approximately 10 programs available for certification. The programs include construction, interactive media and therapeutic services. The most popular program of study at Conway Vocational is the field of therapeutics. The school is located at 2300 Prince St. near downtown Conway. The grade levels it offers are ninth through 12th.

    Arkansas Beauty Schools

    • Located in downtown Conway on Markham Street, Arkansas Beauty School offers several accreditation courses in the cosmetology field. The courses include nail technician, barber and styling, and trade and industrial teacher education, which certifies you as a teacher of cosmetology. Financial aid is available according to students' needs. This school usually enrolls no more than 50 students at any given time.

    Central Baptist College

    • Althoug Central Baptist is a standard four-year university, it also offers courses specifically geared towards those wishing to enter the Christian ministry. All courses are taught within a Christian context: some courses include religious education, Christian counseling, and pastoral studies. However, Central Baptist also offers more traditional courses such as music and business. This college also provides the opportunity for its students to take correspondence and online courses.
