The University of Nebraska Omaha has two English language learning programs. The Intensive English Program, ILUNO, is designed to help speakers of other languages improve and perfect English reading, writing, and speaking skills. Students use ILUNO both as a preparatory program for those who plan on attending and English-language college or university, and as a gateway to learning about American culture. UNO's second English language program, International Professional Development, provides intensive instruction on communication skills, cultural issues, and business education for international firms seeking success in English-speaking markets.
