National Medical Education & Training Center (NMETC), located in West Bridgewater, Massachusetts, offers EMT courses. Up on completion of the 165-hour program, students may be able to locate a position within the emergency units of the police, EMS and fire departments. The program includes lesson on physiology, anatomy, triage, spinal injuries and a variety of other emergencies. It is mandatory for students to complete an in-hospital clinical rotation and a field internship. Additionally, NMETC has partnered with the University of Texas Health Services Center in San Antonio, Texas, which allows EMT graduates to earn six college credits.

Am-B-Care Educational Services, located in Springfield, Massachusetts, serves the communities of Western Massachusetts. Emergency Medical Technicians training is offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Students learn to treat sick or injured patients upon arrival and while transporting the patient to the hospital. Students are able to assess patient conditions, handle trauma, and operate an autotrack defibrillation and pulse oximetry.

North Adams Ambulance Service is located in North Adams, Massachusetts, and serves the neighborhoods within the Northern Berkshire County. The EMS Education Center was the first state accredited program in the Berkshire County. The ambulance service offers continuing education classes, basic EMT courses and intermediate courses. The EMT-Basic course runs semiannually, and the EMT-Intermediate course runs every year. EMT students learn how to handle a variety of medical crisis upon reaching the patients and during transportation.
