Facial massage training is often given in a massage training regime or course. It's used as part of the regular training for massage professionals. Students also have the option to take a facial massage course as an elective course during their studies.
Some organizations offer facial massage courses as part of a continuing education program. Sacred Bodywork, a continuing education approved provider by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB), offers a state-approved cool stone massage class based on the principles of Thai massage; students can take the course without any prior experience in massage therapy.
A course on facial massages focuses on the anatomy of the face, including the muscles and bone structure. Students learn how the right massage can reduce undereye puffiness, reduce redness in the face and make the recipient feel better about herself.
