Performance-based exams are administered at Certiport locations in multiple languages in a live-interactive or simulated-live testing format. The test measures your skills, knowledge and speed by performing a series of tasks. Following the test, you immediately receive exam results displayed on the PC screen. Passing candidates receive an official certificate two or three weeks later by postal mail.
The MOS certification has three levels: specialist, expert and master. Specialist candidates must pass exams in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Outlook. Expert candidates must pass either of the Word or Excel expert exams. Master candidates may take expert tests in Excel, Word and PowerPoint and elective exams in Access and Outlook.
The MOS certification has six available testing tracks: MS Office 2010; the 2007 MS Office System and Windows Vista; MSOffice 2003, Office XP and Office 2000; MS Office 2003; MS Office XP or MS Office 2000.
