Learn the alphabet. The Korean alphabet consists of 24 characters which are grouped together to create words. You can consult with books from your local bookstore or use online resources to learn how to draw and pronounce Korean characters. Learn Korean and Learn Langs are both online resources that will familiarize you with how characters look, what they represent and how they are pronounced. Some also provide an audio clip of the letter so that you can hear and mimic how it is pronounced.
Combine the characters to create a word using a pencil and paper. The idea is to fit the characters together. Each character is one syllable, so when two sounds are grouped together, the pronunciations are also grouped together. The "bieup" consonant is pronounced with a "b" or "p" sound. Grouping this together with the vowel "a" for father will produce the sound "ba."
