Is school of open learning approved by distance education council?

The School of Open Learning (SOL) at Delhi University is not approved by the Distance Education Council (DEC). The DEC itself no longer exists; it was subsumed into the University Grants Commission (UGC) in 2012.

While SOL offers distance education courses, its programs are approved and recognized by the University of Delhi itself. The UGC recognizes Delhi University, and therefore implicitly recognizes the programs offered by SOL. However, there's no direct DEC approval as that body is defunct.
