How to Get out of a Contract From Rue Education in Louisiana

Rue Education, based out of Louisiana, is a distance-learning organization offering higher education in the healthcare industry. They offer LPN, RN and EMT licensing classes from home. When you begin Rue Education courses, you are required to sign a contract stating you will adhere to all requirements of your chosen program and pay all costs for supplies, books and the course fees. There are instances where you may decide to break your contract with Rue Education.

      Contact Rue Education in writing requesting that the contract be broken. List your reasoning as to why the contract should be deemed invalid. Valid complaints in the request would include breach of contract on the part of Rue Education, poor educational ethics, reneging on course promises and inaccurate course descriptions.

      Pay for any costs of materials you have incurred thus far. Rue Education sends your course materials via postal mail each semester. Pay for only what you have received, as these are non-refundable once the package has been opened. Send all unopened materials back to Rue Education.

      Notify your credit card company that you will no longer be approving electronic fund transfers to Rue Education. Rue Education has been reported to charge you the full course amount on the credit card you registered with for tuition payments, even after contracts have been cancelled.

      Apply for loan forgiveness with Rue Education to take care of any other charges incurred during your course. Rue Education offers loan forgiveness within 30 days of failing an exam after online tutoring program requirements are met. You may be eligible for this program.
