As an administrator, the analyst takes care of proposals, manuals, bids and special projects and keeps track of various school databases with sensitive information. Part of the analyst’s responsibility entails coordinating with other public or private bodies on behalf of the institution, where he or she gives information and becomes a resource. This individual also evaluates the benefits and costs of these collaborations in addition to carrying out control functions within the administrative services, such as preparing budgets and compiling data when directed to, depending on a school’s structure.
After carrying out research and analyzing proposals and position of the school, an analyst prepares reports to show his or her findings and recommendations. This person is also a problem solver in the administration who conducts research on how to resolve administration and operational issues by identifying the problems and carrying out research to come up with viable solutions or alternatives.
