What is education tax?

Education tax is a type of tax levied on individuals or organizations to fund primary and secondary education. It may be collected locally, at a state level, or even at the federal level. There are three primary models of educational taxation around the world:

1) The Nordic model, characterized by relatively high marginal tax rates and generous government expenditures on education

2) The Anglo-Saxon model, with moderately high levels of income taxes and less reliance on government intervention

3) The continental European model, which combines more extensive social programs in education and healthcare alongside comparatively higher public expenditures
