* Pharmacy Technician Program: Provides training to assist licensed pharmacists in a pharmacy setting. It's a certificate or associate's degree program.
* Pharmacy Program (PharmD): A professional doctorate degree requiring extensive coursework in chemistry, biology, pharmacology, and other advanced sciences, followed by years of clinical rotations. This is a much longer and more rigorous program than a technician program.
While your pharmacy technician experience might be valuable and could be mentioned in your application to a PharmD program, it doesn't grant you credit toward the PharmD degree. You would have to apply to a PharmD program as a new student and meet all their admission requirements, including prerequisite coursework in science and math.
