How to Access My SJSU Email

San Jose State University offers free email accounts to all students, staff and faculty. These accounts use either Google Apps for Education or Microsoft Live Edu as their basis, resulting in fully featured email accounts based on the Gmail and Windows Live Mail services. As the email service is part of the larger SJSU computer system, an individual's email account must be accessed using the Tower ID and password that are used to access other parts of the system. Accounts also cannot be accessed until they are activated by the users they are assigned to.

      Navigate to the SJSUOne sign-in page. The page will contain a prompt for your SJSU Tower ID and password, but you should not enter them if your account has not been activated yet.

      Click the "Activate Your SJSUOne Account" link below the sign-in prompt. You need your Tower ID, date of birth, mailing ZIP code, and password to activate your account. Enter this information when prompted and click the "Continue" button to proceed through the account activation process.

      Return to the SJSUOne sign-in page. Enter your Tower ID and password, clicking "Login" to sign in to the SJSUOne system. If you are on a private computer, click the "Remember Me" box to have the system remember your login information.

      Select your campus email provider from the SJSUOne interface. The SJSUOne system consolidates email and other services to use a single login, so you will be logged in to your email account automatically.
