How to Transfer Paper Notes to the Computer

Although laptops are becoming commonplace in college classrooms across the world, many people still rely on tried-and-true paper and pencil. However, what if you want to send your notes across the world via email? Or save them to your computer for safekeeping? Or, create multiple copies to share with friends? Well, it's all quite simple, and can be done with a simple scanner.

Instructions

      Open the lid of the scanner, revealing a glass surface.

      Place one page of your paper notes down on the glass surface. The side that's facing down is the side that will be scanned into the computer.

      Press the "Scan" button on your scanner. After a few moments, the scanned image of your notes should pop up on your computer.

      Select "Save As" and save the scanned image as an image file in the folder of your choice. The notes are now on your computer as an image file.

      Repeat steps two through four for all other pages of your notes.
