Cary Quadrangle consists of an East and West Halls, Northeast and Northwest Halls and the South Hall. Built in 1927 in memory of Franklin Levering Cary, the college residence underwent renovations in 2006. It is known as the "flagship" among Purdue University dorms because it's the largest all-male residences in the United States. It features a bathroom between every two rooms, an indoor courtyard, and designated study and entertainment areas.
The First Street Towers were opened in 2009. Students must be at least 19 years old to be eligible to reside in the tower. The tower offers single private bedrooms and bathrooms. All rooms flank a dining and living room area. The university built the dorm for upperclassmen with a design that combined privacy and sense of community for its residents.
The Hilltop Apartments are operated by the Hilltop Council, who are residents of the apartment community. The dorm is committed to providing undergraduates with many social events including non-alcoholic block parties, international dinners, ski and canoe trips, and stress-management assistance. The Hilltop Apartments consists of 31 individual buildings which include single and double undergraduate rooms. The dorm offers many accommodations such as a campfire pit, basketball hoops, an outdoor movie screen and charcoal grills.
The Meredith Hall is laid out in an X shape. It has four hallways that branch off from a very large lobby. It features Boiler Crossing, an attached mini-mart, and study lounges. The hall was opened in 1952 and named after Meredith Hall, who is known as the "Queen of American Agriculture". It boasts an ATM, baby grand piano, ping-pong table and computer lab.
The Purdue Village provides private efficiency apartment homes to students. The apartments feature kitchens, air conditioners, desks, beds and dressers. It is located on the Southwest side of the campus and accommodates students with families as well as undergraduates. The Village has recreational areas and yard space.
