How to Find Out Who My Roommate is at UGA

Founded in 1801, the University of Georgia has remained a state academic institution for over 200 years. Most students live on campus and take in all the university has to offer. Finding out who your roommate is at UGA is a simple proposition. Make sure you begin your investigation early and do not wait until the last minute just before the school year begins. The quicker you make contact with the UGS student affairs administration, the faster you will have your answers -- and be able make any possible changes.

Instructions

    • 1

Note in your initial UGA housing contract -- a supplement to the application -- who you are requesting as your roommate. Be sure the person you request also asks for you. Student affairs administration officers make every effort to pair up mutual room sharing requests before issuing official dorm assignments.

    • 2

Look for an official notice from the UGA student affairs office during the month of June. UGA annually sends out dorm assignments for the following academic fall semester between June 1st and June 30th.

    • 3

Call the UGA student affairs office, before the end of May, at 706-542-3564. Ask the representative for a Reassignment Request Form if you desire a room and/or roommate change for the following fall semester. Note a specific student with whom you would like to room -- and have the other student complete the same form, requesting you. Finish and return the form immediately, as requests are granted in the order request forms are received.
