Speak to the career services branch of your university. They can let you know of any companies that are looking to hire interns. They may also hold a career day that can put you in touch with these businesses.
Go through the application and hiring process. Interns are hired the same way as paid employees. You need to provide a resume and go through a series of interviews.
Set up a work schedule. Most internships last the full term of the semester. You work a few hours a week. Look at any college requirements for internship credit before you fix a work schedule.
Complete the internship. Before you can apply for credit, the internship must be completed.
Get any applicable paperwork from your university. The paperwork needs to be signed and filled out by your employer. It should state your job title, duties and hours. The college uses this form to determine how many credits you have earned.
