What is state beverage?

A state beverage is an alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverage officially designated as the representative drink of a particular state or region. Unlike a state fruit or flower, there aren't many states that have officially adopted a state beverage. Those that have usually choose a beverage with strong ties to the state's history, culture, or economy.
