Cite in-text for APA by putting the author's last name and the date in parentheses. For example: (Lovett, 2011). For MLA in-text citations, you need to cite the name of the author directly in the text of the paper.
Cite in the bibliography in APA format with the author's name, the date, the article's title, the newspaper's title (in italics) and the URL. For example:

Cite for MLA by listing the name of the article, the name of the newspaper, the website, the date, the date you accessed the material and the medium. For example:
Lovett, Kenneth. "Gay Marriage bill passes in New York: How the deal was finally done in Albany." Nydailynews.com. NY Daily News, 25 June 2011. Web. 25 June 2011.
Cite Chicago style by listing the author, title, newspaper, location of newspaper, publication date and the URL in a footnote for the in-text citation and the same information in a works-cited page. For example:
Kenneth Lovett, "Gay Marriage bill passes in New York: How the deal was finally done in Albany," NY Daily News (New York City, NY), June 25, 2011. http://www.nydailynews.com/news/politics/2011/06/25/2011-06-25_gay_marriage_bill_passes_in_new_york_how_the_deal_was_finally_done_in_albany.html.
On the works cited page, the name should be flipped so it reads last name, first name.
