Decide what type of travel agent you want to become. There are generic certifications or you can choose, such as a cruise travel agent.
Apply for college. Most technical colleges offer semester-long programs or entire degrees for travel agents. Larger travel agencies may also offer a certification program.
Submit your transcripts from high school or other college education. You will need this information to be accepted to a school. You can get your transcripts by contacting your former schools.
Enroll in a program. Upon acceptance to school review the credits and classes needed to obtain your travel agent certification. This will vary from college to college. If it is solely a certification program you will only need to take classes related to being a travel agent. However, if you are going for a degree at a college you may also need to complete electives.
Attend class and give your best. Most programs require a "C" average to receive a certification, but this will vary based on where you go to school.
