Begin your reference list at the end of your paper. Use a new page that is separate from the text of your document.
Center the words "Reference List" at the top of the page. Do not use special formatting, such as bold, italics, quotation marks or underlining. APA style requires that you double space all reference list text, just as you do in other parts of your paper.
Start each entry with the author's name in last name followed by first initial format. For sources with two authors, use last name, first initial, separating the names with an ampersand. If a source has three to seven authors, use the last name followed by the first initial for all authors. For sources with more than seven authors, list the first six authors followed by ellipses. After the ellipses, list the final author's name. Alphabetize your list each author's last name. Follow the examples listed below.

Create a hanging indentation for all lines after the first line of each entry. Indent the second and all subsequent lines of each reference list entry one-half inch from the left margin to accomplish this.
Use the name of an organization or other entity when in place of the author's last and first name when applicable. For sources with no author, lead off the entry with the title of the work. Place it in your reference list in alphabetical order.
