Search on scholarly websites. Visit your campus library and use your student ID and password to visit sites such as JSTOR, Lexis-Nexis, Project Muse, Sage Publishers and Pro Quest. When you go the websites, type in the topic you're looking for in the search box then write down the titles of each article along with the years these articles were written in.
Talk with your professor. For example, if you need journal articles on the Roman Catholic influence in the development of Latin American culture and religious traditions, ask your professor if he can recommend any journal articles on this subject. If he wrote a list of journal articles for you to find, ask where you can find the articles.
Visit the websites of the journal publishers. Click on links such as "Ordering Journal Articles," "How to Contact Us," or "Purchasing Archived Articles," then type in the names of specific journal article titles you want to purchase.
