Ogeechee Technical College provides online and on-campus degree programs, offering the flexibility of earning your degree in sonography at home or campus. The school provides personal and educational counseling, and all faculty members have industry experience in the fields in which they instruct.
Admission to the college is based on the guidelines established by the State Board of the Technical College System of Georgia. The degree program selected determines your eligibility for admission. Some of the criteria include cumulative grade point average, criminal background check, and test scores.
Ogeechee Tech offers a competitive Diagnostic Medical Sonography program. Coursework covers many aspects of sonography, including radiologic science, sonographic physics, anatomy, pathology, and clinical sonography. In addition, the program offers clinical education to apply the learned techniques in radiology and imaging departments of local clinics.

Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science is on an 11-acre campus in the heart of Los Angeles. Its campus has a day care facility, elementary and high school, biomedical library, housing and educational research facilities. The school offers certificate and undergraduate degree programs in Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
The university offers a Diagnostic Medical Sonography certificate program to individuals who possess a bachelor’s degree in a science-related field from a regionally accredited institution. Applicants to the certificate program must have a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 with at least a “C” in the required science courses. Additionally, each applicant must submit three letters of recommendation, essay, current resume, felony disclosure form, physical examination form, and official transcripts of all prior academic work.
The Bachelor of Science in Diagnostic Medical Sonography program is for students who have earned an Associate of Science degree in a science-related field from a regionally accredited institution with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.0. For admission, you must have passed the required science, math, and English courses, submit three letters of recommendation, essay and current resume, official transcripts, pre-admission assessment scores, and a completed felony and physical examination form.

Central Florida Institute, Inc., offers an Ultrasound Technician Training program in diagnostic medical sonography. Admission is open, and in order to apply, you must schedule an appointment with an admissions adviser to discuss your academic and career goals. In addition, you must submit photo identification, social security card, general physical and tuberculosis test, and official transcripts.
Central Florida Institute offers short-term programs, with hands-on training to integrate classroom learning with on-the-job experiences. Additionally, it offers students job placement assistance and opportunities to practice in clinical settings before their degree programs are completed.
