Golden West's Criminal Justice Training Center, a Regional Law Enforcement Training Facility, offers three independent programs designed specifically to meet state certification standards for police officers, as set by the State Commission on Police Officer Standards and Training. These programs include such subjects as live-scan fingerprinting, background investigations, physical agility, oral interviewing, police report writing, juvenile law, forensic photography and more. Upon completion of studies and certification, students should be prepared to undergo the official police academy testing.
