There are currently two schools in Chicago, Illinois that offer training in HVAC technology: Coyne College and Kennedy-King College.
Coyne College offers both a diploma and an associate's degree program in heating, air-conditioning and refrigeration technology. Kennedy-King College offers an associate's of applied science degree.
HVAC training in Chicago focuses primarily on the development of hands-on practical skills along with some foundational academic coursework. Course topics include design and testing of residential and commercial systems, installation and maintenance services, electrical and gas-powered heating systems, commercial controls and applications, refrigeration technology and business skills.
