Individuals interested in designing, selling, installing or servicing Carrier heating and cooling products can attend a variety of courses and workshops to become more familiar with the product lines, unit components and company policies and procedures. The courses at Carrier University are accredited by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET).
Course offerings include the fundamentals of air conditioning, HVAC electrical pro-troubleshooting, centrifugal fundamentals and applied water system design. Some courses are offered online, while others require attendance at training sessions and workshops that are four to five days in length.
In each course, students receive theoretical and practical training through hands-on practice using course-related equipment. Students are assessed through class participation, quizzes and work sessions. For many of the courses, it is recommended that students have at least one year of experience in the field.
