How many engineering trades does Indian institute of technology offer?

The Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) don't offer "trades" in the same way a vocational school might. They offer undergraduate and postgraduate engineering degrees in a wide variety of disciplines. There isn't a single, fixed number across all IITs because each institute has its own specific program offerings. However, the number of different engineering disciplines offered across all IITs combined is very large, numbering in the dozens, including many specializations within broader fields.
